The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic fishing tournament at Sandestin is the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast’s newest entry onto the world stage of premier marlin tournaments. This $300,000 (based on 75 boats) World Billfish Series-sanctioned event is based on 75 boats and gives serious angling teams their shot at winning a huge pay-off while receiving the royal treatment from the this Destin, Florida fishing event’s hosts and sponsors.
Play big, win big! We're raising the stakes in 2008 with the addition of a $5,000.00 optional entry level for blue marlin, dolphin, tuna, wahoo and billfish release.
Last year 23 teams entered across the board. If that same number enters across the board in 2008 it'll add $517,500.00 to the pot! Don't miss out on your share!
Touting “the highest minimum length for blue marlin” in the Gulf Coast, our Florida fishing tournament will be doing its part to conserve our treasured marine resources by also requiring all-release for white marlin and sailfish. With cash categories for dolphin, tuna, and Wahoo as well as individual angler trophies, fishermen have a multitude of ways to stake their claim on Destin fishing tournament history!
