The largest fish ever caught on rod and reel, a record 1805 pound Pacific blue marlin, was caught right here in waters off Oahu on the charter boat "Coreene C", from Kewalo Basin.
The second largest fish ever caught on a boat from Kewalo Basin is Maggie Joe's 1277 pound Pacific blue marlin in October of 1993.
